Instantané, 1974

Made during my tenure at the Cleveland Institute of Art as the second year design instructor, Instantané was first exhibited at Huron Mall, Cleveland.

The name is French for snapshot and connotes the piece’s appearance of being caught in the midst of taking a step.

I donated Instantané to the Wilmette (IL) Park District in 2011. It is located at the junction of Glenview Road, Wilmette Avenue and Hunter Road.
